Jean-Claude CARSUZAN was born in 1938 in Bordeaux, where he studied at the Beaux Arts for six years. As of 1964 he left teaching and the first production of scenery to dedicate himself exclusively to painting. Since 1983, the Mediterranean basin offers the artist a source for inspiration, and especially the Isles of Cyclades where with a lot of emotion, the artist passes us on his clear vision of an harmonious life. In his paintings, the light blows up on a sea background coloured of mauve and deep blue, as filled with antique legends. Orders from the French State, many prizes and distinctions punctuates an international and very active career, and the Gallery Espace International in Pont Aven is proud to exhibit his
